On April 8, 2008, the City Council awarded the construction contract for the 9th Avenue SE Widening project to Dennis R. Craig Construction, Inc. of Redmond in the amount of $400,361.87.
The improvements consist of adding another lane between 164th Street SE and the south end of the shopping centers, along with curb and sidewalk upgrades down to Penny Creek. Preliminary utility coordination work will begin on site in the next week or two, and major construction will begin in the next two to four weeks.
