At last night’s Council Meeting, four Councilmembers were sworn into office. Councilmembers Sean Kelly (Position #1), Donna Michelson (Position #2), Pam Pruitt (Position #3) and Brian Holtzclaw (Position #4) were sworn in for four-year terms.
In addition, the City Council elected Pam Pruitt to serve a two-year term as Mayor. The Council elected Mark Harmsworth to a two-year term as Mayor Pro Tem.
The City of Mill Creek operates within the Council-Manager form of government which is characterized by a separation of executive and legislative powers and a system of checks and balances patterned after our traditional national and state governments. This form consists of seven councilmembers elected at large to four-year terms. Every two years, the City Council elects a Mayor from its members to serve as the chair of the Council.
Congratulations to all. Any questions, please let me know. Thank you.
